Region : Germany

Model : TL-MR3020

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : 3.14.2 Build 120817 Rel.55520n

ISP : Kabel Deutschland

Hi all,
I want to use the MR3020 as a WLAN router with my cable modem UBEE EVM220D. The explanation in the FAQ (ID: 85) article is based on one WAN and one LAN port, but the MR3020 has only a single WAN/LAN port. Is there a possibility to use the WAN connection between cable modem and router and a WLAN connection between router and computer to configure the router to work with the cable modem?

Any help is appreciated

cable modem UBEE EVM220D.

What is your ISP? Can you connect cable from modem to WAN in TP-link and configure WAN as dynanic IP, after that you can see status TP-link. Maybe give us screenshot form this status.

Internet Access - WAN only

My ISP is "Kabel Deutschland". I can connect the TP-Link router either to the cable modem or to the computer via cable. So when I connect the router to the modem I can't configure the router since I have no connection from my computer to the router.

First, you do reset TP-link to default factory and connect your computer by the cable to the LAN socket. In internet browser you write http://192.168.1.1 and admin/admin. Configure Internet Access WAN only. Next make connection from ISP modem to WAN socket in TP-link and give us screenshot from status your router.

I need to connect to the router via 192.168.0.254 instead of 192.168.1.1 (don't know if that matters), but what do you mean with "Configure Internet Access WAN only"?
I attached the current status:

higher resolution please! Image is too small.

but what do you mean with "Configure Internet Access WAN only"?

Because you have cable modem UBEE EVM220D from ISP and don't use the 3G modem. I think this configuration will be better for you.

The picture itself was FullHD but the forum software made it this small. I put a dropbox link to the original file under the picture.

I don't know where to find these WAN settings.

It is MR3020 as I wrote in the thread title. I have no idea how I landed in the wrong sub forum. Sorry for the confusion.

Please use Quick Setup.
WAN only, Dynamic IP, and try connect cable from modem ISP to one LAN socket. Try connect wireless with your TP-link.

As soon as I choose Dynamic IP and restart the router, I can't access the router itself anymore, because 192.168.0.254 doesn't answer. Interestingly two computers connected to the router over WLAN can ping each other.
