Using MR 3020 as booster for existing Wifi Modem

I have a pocket router MR 3020 which I want to connect to my existing Airtel Wifi Modem mainly as a booster as the Wifi modem reach is limited. But unable to connect thru a laptop interface. Can any one suggest the procedure involved after I connect the MR 3020 to my laptop thru a lan cable and activate the Airtel wifi connection in my laptop ?
