Dear Sir,

I have purchased the TL-WR940N router but I have been facing very major issue regarding wireless range issues. As this router is placed at the ground floor of my house but the signals of WIFI are not reaching from one room to another room. I have modified the settings as well but there is no any positive outcome from that. I have changes the place of router from my room to outside of my house for better visiblity of signals but the signal strengths is always shows good and fair. Kindly suggest what should I do ?? My router in in warranty for 1 year so should I go for warranty claim ?? As If I will go to first floor of my house so the signals dropped down to fair as my previous router was far better than this as it gave me excellent signals througout my house. Kindly help me as I am very dissapointed by the wifi signal problem of that router.

@Mufti_Rahat_Ali

Hi you can adjust the wireless settings to improve the wireless range, including wireless channel and channel width.

And please ensure that the firmware is up to date.

Besides, you can add a network expansion device to boost wifi signal, like range extender or powerline adapters.

Good day.

@Kevin_Z

Hello,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for the nice suggestions.

Actually I have applied all these settings as I have adjusted channel from Auto to 1,6 or 11 and also chnnel width from auto to 20HZ / 40Hz but there is no any outcome from that.

Yeah I know we can use range extender to further enhance to range of Wifi but my issue is entirely different, actually my router is faulty that's why it couldn't cover whole range.

I will claim this router as it still lies in warranty period and I have just bought it 15 days ago.

Thanks once again
