Hi

I've installed my AC1750, connected it to my network but there's no apparent improvement to the signal at the top of the house (router is on ground floor, AC1750 on middle floor). It shows as connected to the network on the router's home page. When I look in the Tether app it indicates that it has zero clients. Does this mean that nothing is connected to it, or does it maybe not get clients when it's a simple range extender rather than a router in its own right.

If I change the channel I'm using on the router do I have to go through the setup with the extender all over again?

Any other ideas to improve things?

Thanks

J

@John_Whitehead Your extender is RE450, right?

1. If I change the channel I'm using on the router do I have to go through the setup with the extender all over again?

--> Not really. Please change the channel on your router, then RE450 will automatically connect to router wifi again.

2. Any other ideas to improve things?

Please check this: How to improve my wireless speed or range?

It's suggested to have different wifi name for RE450 from your router's, then we can easily know which one we can connecting to.
