Try using the windows key + r and then enter \\192.168.0.1 in the pop up window.

In your router USB settings, be sure the "network neighborhood" is enabled and the 'share mode' is on. Power cycle the router and the PC and try again.

To better assist you I will need to tranfer this post to our Global community.  While most of our products are similar I cannot vouch for the VR2800 as that is not a product sold in the US.  This community "community.tp-link.com/us" was setup exclusively for US customers.  While we will always try to assist in some situations its best to transfer the customer's thread to the Global community "community.tp-link.com/en'

Using the Win-R method you suggested:

 

\\192.168.0.1 gives "Network path not found"

 

\\192.168.1.1 (which is the router's IP address on my network) gives an error about an obsolete SMB1 protocol which has been depracated by Windows 10 because it's insecure. It says I need the SMB2 protocol to access the resource, which presumably the router doesn't have?

It is your Windows 10 that does not have SMB2. Google SMB2 for more info.

According to Microsoft, SMB2 is enabled by default in Win10, and when I query it in Powershell (Admin) it returns True, suggesting that it's running.
