Archer MR600(EU) V1 - BETA Firmware - Allowing selection of 4G+bands for Archer MR600 manually
Hi all,
Following the long thread on the same subject discssing the BETA FW, as I said I would, TPLink have given me permission to share the FW download llink.
From TPLink - We recently released a beta firmware for Archer MR600(EU) V1 which can allow us to select 4G+bands for Archer MR600 manually.
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202004/20200420/Archer_MR600v1_1.1.0_0.9.1_[200417-rel75138]_up_boot_2020-04-20_08.44.31.zip
For Archer MR600, if you want to use its 4G+network, your SIM card should support the CA bands group Archer MR400 supports. Please check the attached picture and check if your SIM card supports the band groups on the list or not.
They asked me to state that, this BETA FW is for the Archer MR600(EU) V1 ONLY!
Neither TPLink nor me take any respnsbility if you flash a none-EU router.

Thank you Rajiv. That's the best inclination I would say to achieve maximum speeds. I have two LPDAs with me. Will mount it tomorrow with LMR400 running to the routers. Or I can give a try to a 9 DBi MIMO Panel Antenna present with me. I will share results with both the Antenna setups..

@cbzvenki @Abhi093 Hi I am not sure about the internal PCI-E modem model they are using in MR600, Actually, Qualcomm X12 modem has CAT12 with 3XCA combination mode support with 600 mbps download speed with MIMO 4X4 capabilities.
But on TP-Link website, MR-600 specification mentions that it as a CAT6 device not CAT12, and the first post about the beta firmware description says it has only 2XCA combination mode support which will technically go a maximum of 300 mbps download speed.
If TP-Link uses the CAT12 modem inside MR-600, then the cost would be much higher than the current market price. We can check by opening the MR-600 router but the warranty will void.

@TaZ30 Hi, I would suggest you can buy two LPDAs and mount as given in previous post in this thread. amazon link also present.Point the antennas toward the BTS tower. Or you can go for MIMO Omni antenna if you are getting good signals from various towers in close proximity.
For LPDA : You can purchase from Amazon .
