Archer MR600(EU) V1 - BETA Firmware - Allowing selection of 4G+bands for Archer MR600 manually
Hi all,
Following the long thread on the same subject discssing the BETA FW, as I said I would, TPLink have given me permission to share the FW download llink.
From TPLink - We recently released a beta firmware for Archer MR600(EU) V1 which can allow us to select 4G+bands for Archer MR600 manually.
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202004/20200420/Archer_MR600v1_1.1.0_0.9.1_[200417-rel75138]_up_boot_2020-04-20_08.44.31.zip
For Archer MR600, if you want to use its 4G+network, your SIM card should support the CA bands group Archer MR400 supports. Please check the attached picture and check if your SIM card supports the band groups on the list or not.
They asked me to state that, this BETA FW is for the Archer MR600(EU) V1 ONLY!
Neither TPLink nor me take any respnsbility if you flash a none-EU router.

@darant surely no one will buy a V1 mr600 unless they are very very cheap.

Hello, a few words have been missed in the translation.
I wanted to say that V2 does not exist for sale, at least in Italy.
I also wanted to say that the V1 firmware beta is only for MR600 V1(EU).
I also saw the V2 for MR600 on the site; it's a new hardware that I haven't found from any Seller.
Anyway, that being the case, I wouldn't trust you to buy this V2.

@MarioF Thanks. However, 4G Band 40 2300 Mhz spectrum is not used by any of the mobile service providers in your country ITALY.
so, the 4G specification about band 40 or Carrier aggregation combination with band 40 will not help you in any conditions either with MR600 V1 or V2.
In India, we need this Carrier aggregation combination with band 40A-40A 2CA / 2CC features on MR600 which is currently missing on MR600 V1, and have requested TP-Link to implement the same ASAP. otherwise, the MR600 V1 product is useless in India from the 4G+ perspective.
So, In India, we are waiting for the same feature to support 40A-40A for MR600 V1, but suddenly TP-Link has published version 2 of this Router with the 40A-40A CA function on their website but V2 is not available anywhere.
@Datman yes you are right, As per my understanding, it looks TP-Link is not able to provide 40A-40A CA support on the V1 router, and that's why they created a new hardware version V2. Now TP-Link is more interested in selling old v1 units and they would like to finish all old V1 stocks.
@Albut Yes, it is still too costly as a 4G+ router and the bad is TP-Link is still unable to provide support for 40A-40A on V1 router after several requests.
