I'm able to tftp flash with and without a network.switch, my link speed has to be 1gbit else the bin file is not sent within the timeout window (5s).

I have found what I believe to be the initial firmware for the Archer C6, I'm currently running OpenWRT to see how it fairs and if the 5Ghz issue affects me. If it continues to work then great, otherwise I will try to TFTP recover to the initial release 180627.

As it currently stands, its working better than TP-Link's official firmware, I have no issue with the 5Ghz channel 36 which was crippling speed on 1.3.1, I'm currently running it on 80mhz width, I'm getting 260-325mbps link rate on my dual band laptop and about 120mbps on my phone, thats with a -71dbm signal.

I would not recommend anyone switched to OpenWRT, as for me at least, there doesn't appear to be a route back to OEM.

Top 4 are 5ghz, rest are 2.4ghz, top bandwidth is client to router, bear in mind power saving on the client will drop link rates until traffic starts to flow.

Real world speed test from laptop:

Hi Without any provision for a new OEM version by TP-LINK, I installed OPENWRT and then installed OEM version 1.2.1 again, this seems to me the most stable of all for me. best regards
