Hi Guys,

 

just purchased the AX11000 today, I have put I together, plugged it all in and used the app to find it and set it up. But for some reason I can't connect to the internet?

 

my up address is just 0.0.0.0

 

do I need to Plug old router in and find the IP address on that, then plug in new one and  manually enter the details? Any help wpups

be appreciated. I'm not very good with this kind of stuff

Or do I need to contact my ISP and get correct info to enter into static ip fields? Dynamic Dosnt seem to be picking anything up.

The posting does not contain much information to assist. Just purchased and plug in and not connected to internet doesn't provide much info. Normally, the unit needs to be setup before plugging the internet connection into the WAN port. The setup needs to be similar to the previous WiFi router or close to it, use screenshot to capture the info from previous router, or pen/pencil/paper works too.

 

  • Is the internet connection via cable modem, fiber router, etc. and was it plug into the AX11000 WAN port? like previous setup?
  • Was the router setup via the app or web interface, reflect the previous WiFi router settings? or close to it if different from tp-link?

 

Additionally, you can use a PC, RJ45, and perform a direct connect to one of the AX11000 LAN/RJ45 port and use the web interface.

@Godzilla sorry for bad explanation mate.

 

we had fibre installed when moving here, and I have an Ethernet cable running from the fibre modem into the Ax11000 WAN Port. I will attach photos.

 

i have tried plugging in old modem and copying down details, but I cant seem to find the default gateway number? Do you know how I can find that.

 

I will try the laptop direct connection today and see if that works.

The default gateway is normally under Internet / WAN / Network settings, one of those "tab" should display the gateway. If connecting PC directly, for Windows 10 or Mac, going into the Network settings of the operating systems, will display the default route/gateway.

 

Another way to manage the AX11000, plug one of the PC into one of the AX11000 LAN port and access the router management interface. Open a browser and go to 192.168.0.1, I think the default login is admin/admin. If you have setup the login credential to be something else, use that to log into the web interface.

 

From the picture, is this how the previous setup was? Where the old router is in place of the AX11000? with the white cable connected to the old router WAN port?
