Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20200427 rel.80857(5553)

After upgrade, i noticed that

1. Router rebooted by itself after 1 day - just once so far

2. Printer cannot be seen by others. (this was working before upgrade) - To resolve this, i disabled the AX mode in the 2.4GHz band where the printer is. It helps to resolve the issue.

Traffice monitoring

Before and after firmware upgrade, it is always showing one day ahead. ie now it is Sunday, but the graph would be plotting on Monday already

i also noticed that all logs (system log and traffice log) are cleared when router is rebooted. is this the normal behaviour?

unable to go back to previous firmware. Select the bin file after downloading from tp link site but upgrading firmware info box stays at 0%.

please fix.

Did it as a test as user on this forum had same issue. You replied as well.

ps. I could restore from a backup but not revert back to a previous firmware

Exactly the same for me....

Additionaly it seem the router keep some gohst reserved ip address.

And finally after an "Auto-reboot" the router decided to self factory reset.... 😕.

Really desapointed.

Upgraded to 1.1.0 Build 20200427 rel.80857(4555) and deeply regreted.

Several WiFi devices are no longer visible in the network or cannot be found from iPhone apps.

RE300 repeater is now lost, not visible either.

RE505X repeater is randomly disconnecting.

A real disaster. About half of my network is now down.

TP-Link, what are you doing ????!!!!????!!!!

@Kevin_Z

I also had problems after the upgrade and installed the latest beta as you suggested today.  I was able to connect to 2.4GHz with interet access but when connecting to the 5G network I had no internet access.   After about 5 min I got internet access on 5G.  I have found this a constant problem - when rebooting or awaking from hibernation (WIn 10 64 bit), I can connect to either band but have no internet access for up to about 10 minutes.  When I run the network troubleshooter it always suggests a network reset but this does not solve the problem.  I am using a TP-Link Archer T4U AC1300 MU-MIMO USB wireless device.

Of possible relevance, I have another D-Link router attached to the AX6000 via cable in my music room - I am able to connect to this router from my PC and have internet even when the link to the AX6000 is telling me that there is no internet access!

Could this be due to the security settings? I have the 3 antivirus settings on but firewall, access control and IP & mac binding are off.

Please advise as I have become increasingly annoyed by this router which I spent a great deal of money on and expected much better than I have found.

thanks

Jose

@Kevin_Z

The beta didn't last long. Several hours after the upgrade I noticed I lost again 2 devices connected in 2.4GHz.

I disabled AX on both 2.4 and 5, and this made the trick. My devices are communicating again. I have to mention none of them do support AX, but AC.

Now I am currious to see if the connections are stable.

I don't think it is because of the beta. Same behaviour was before, identical.

My guess is that this beta tries to correct something else, while my problem and the others above is different. It seems to be related to AX.

As a side note: the wifi interface in my laptop was a AC, and data transfers were going out with 70MBps. I upgraded it to an AX version in order to get higher speed, but there was absolutelly no change. I have the same data transfer speed. It is not a problem of laptop or the other side (a NAS). I am running a high-end XPS with 8950HK CPU, and on the other side I have a NAS with which I get 110MBps if I connect on UTP cable instead of wifi. This makes me think the AX part of the firmware is not working properly.

@Mihai_T

Mine now works a treat all the time. Downloaded the latest (not beta) firmware, installed it. Set it up.

Then restored to factory settings and  voila not a single dropped connection. Using my ax wifi on note 10plus also.

Happy bunny

@Cawsie

If I restore it to factory settings I'm afraid I'll have to re-join the wifi networks from all my devices. and there are many.

Which version did you install?
