Model: TL-WPA4220 KIT
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 4.0.3 Build 20190326 Rel.43406

I have added another AV600 in my existing powerline adapter network. The existing/old network was made of TL-WPA4220T-KIT (3 pieces) V1. Then I added a TL-WPA4220-KIT (2 pieces) replaced the old TL-PA4010  with the new one. So I have 4 pieces in total now. The old two TL-WPA4220 have no issues at all. Only the new one stops showing internet connection on my laptop through ethernet port and devices connected to the same new TL-WPA4220 via wifi also loses internet connection. All lights on the new TL-WPA4220 is always solid still green. where as the old TL-WPA4220 wifi light flashes when it's used.

My main problem is, several times a week, all the devices connected to new TL-WPA4220 loses internet connection, even though the IP address and network are still on. Wifi light NOT flashing on the new one is annoying, but, I can live with it.

I have connected with support today, they asked me to reset the new device and pair it again. I did all that. I am not sure if I will face the "no internet" connection error again. But the wifi light still doesn't flash. I am guessing that's the change in V4

has anyone else have this same "no internet" issue with TL-WPA4220 V4?

after downgrading the firmware to 180308, this has been working fine. It's only available on their global site. I couldn't find it in UK site. I got an email from support ==> The firmware can be installed from our official website: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/tl-wpa4220kit/#Firmware

@mcc1380

this is happening again, Internet connection drops and after a few minutes, automatically reconnects. TP-link needs to address this,

Exact same issue over here. Plugging it in once again resolves the issue for a perhaps a few hours. After some time the device isn't sending out a wifi network anymore. I've had older powerlines from the first hour which worked for years. Changed them for more modern and newer ones, and they just don't work. About to send them back as 'broken'.

@uxd

I returned it after trying it out many things. Bought a wifi router and a long cat 7 cable. Extended the network properly.

@uxd I returned the device and purchased Devolo Magic 1 mini. More expensive but it works like a charm.

Eventhough I'm a big TP-Link fan, this time it just didn't work.

@LVV I recommend to all exactly the same. Return it and buy the  Devolo Magic 1 mini.

@mcc1380

This is due to the Roaming feature introduced in the 2019 firmware that can't be disabled. To solve it just install the old 2018 version of the firmware!
