Deco m9 plus v2 update?
Hello, I would like to know if there will be a new update for this version. I bought this product thinking that I would solve my Internet connection problems, and I see that if it fulfills its function but has very limited functions and for the price it has I find that it does not meet the expectations, that is why I speak for many users who need to know if this version will have a new update since it has been many months and we have only received answers avoiding the subject.
Please we need to know if this version will have a new update and especially if you will have concisable improvements

I see it , I suspect it is a regional ( language) matter, be patient is the only thing I can say to you, sorry 😞
I'am just a ( happy) end user, who just could press the upgrade button, with this as a result.
I hope you can wait a little bit longer until they release the upgrade for you.
kind regards, Erik

I would like some help for the one v.2 in my mesh setup. I tried update but with no luck at all for v2. My setup: 1 x M9+ ver. 2.0 firmware 1.2.11 Build 20190926 Rel 55727 2 x M9+ ver. 1.0 firmware 1.5.1 Build 20210126 Rel 62679 Didn't work through webinterface - firmware update Did'nt work through Deco M9+ Update Assistant - telling me "Incorret TP-Link ID or password bla. bla. bla., but that isn't correct, tried change my password but still the same, the util dont work. Tried to isolate the v2. so it was the only one in the setup, but still no luck, when it's the only one in the setup I can even not browse the webinterface, so I guess the v2 is not functioning. What to do now? /jan lyngholm - Denmark
Solved, my notebook OS WIN10 had a Virtual NPcap loopback adapter, disabled it and then i could logon the Deco M9+ Update Assistant, collected the latest fw for v2 and updated the one M9+ V2, it worked flawlesly, but it would be nice if future updates could be managed though the web interface for all 3 M9+ both the 2 x v1 and the 1 x v2.

When will an update be provided with possibilities to backup all settings and configuration?

In the Deco app,on my IPad, there is no option to make a backup yourself, and really, I've never needed to.
Perhaps Deco/TP-Link will make a option to make a backup, but I don't know if that's a option they will make in the future, you will have to ask TP-Link.
Until now Deco preformed the updates perfectly, and al my settings and configurations after each update where the same as before.
You only need to check out the new options TP-Link adds in the Deco updates and enjoy them, as I do as a happy end user.
Have fun!
Erik

@Erik_NL Thanks for your reply.
@TP-Link_Deco Every decent router has a backup feature. There are for sure reasons why this feature is needed.
1. I have +100 devices configured on my router, all clearly named, assigned to the right users, priorities,... If the main Dwco ever dies, this will take me days to recover. So, creating a backup of my settings can fix this. And this can't be a big effort for TP-Link to add this, it's more about customer service versus money making.
2. Their updates are not infallible: check this forum; it's full of reports and issues.
3. If you ever want to try some different settings on your router, but want to return to the previous settings: no options.
4. A "router" bought for 50 € has this possibility, this devices should really have this too, without a doubt. It is like buying a car without a spare wheel or repair kit.
