Computers can't talk across Range Extender network
I have the TP Link AC2600 Range extender configured as a wifi extender. But my laptops connecting on the main wifi can't talk to the network printers that are plugged into to the ethernet port on the AC2600. Should I configure it to be a bridge instead of a wifi extender?

Hello,
What is the IP address and gateway on your printer when it is connected to the extender? Can you ping it on your computer?
When you try to set up the extender, did you disable the smart DHCP on it and set a static IP address? If not yet, can you give it a go and see if it works?

The main wifi is a TP-Link AX6000 with an IP of 172.16.0.1. The Extender has a static IP of 172.16.0.52, and the printer has a static IP of 172.16.0.17. A computer on the main Wifi can't see the printer, or ping it. But when the computer is connected to the extender, it can see the printer. The I have tried using a default gateway of 172.16.0.52 and 172.16.0.1 on the printer, both do not work.

Hello, thanks for the update.
What if we let the printer request IP address automatically but not assign a static one, have you tried this?
Is the printer connected to the RE650 by an ethernet cable or wifi? What if you connect a computer or phone to the extender network, can you ping it from the computer which is connected to the main router?

Yes, we have tried having the printer request and IP from the RE650, and it still doesn't work. The printer is connected to the RE650 by the ethernet cables. If I connect a computer to the extender network, I can ping another computer connected on the AX6000. But a computer on the AX6000 can't ping a computer connected to the RE650. It appears to be some sort of a routing issue. Both networks are on the 172.16.0.1/255.255.255.0 address space.

Thank you, I just emailed the engineer back to schedule a time to discuss further. Seems to be some sort of a routing issue between the two wireless routers.

As all the devices obtain IP address from router, devices connected to RE and devices connected router should be in the same LAN/ local network.
Can you share some case details, like the network topology, and how do you want local devices communicate with each other.
What are the IP addresses on the devices, can they ping from each other
