VPN server connection issue
Hopefully somebody can help, many thanks in advance.
I had set up an OpenVPN server running on my C3150 v2. This was working fine for a few weeks.
At one point I was testing something and wanted to connect my local PC to my my VPN connection ie PC allready connected to C3150.
I normally did this by disconnecting the PC from C3150 and running the connection through my mobile phone. Which worked fine.
However this time I forgot to disconnect from C3150 and attempted a connection.
Ever since then I could not connect to my VPN from any device. Server just wasnt working any more.
I tryed
-erasing all settings and setting up again
-upgrading firmware
-factory restore
No matter what I do VPN server will not allow connections. Both, openVPN and PPTP
I can ping my router IP and tplinkdns but all connections fail.
I wonder if there is some setting that got screwed up by me trying to establish a connection from LAN and it is not clearing with all the resets I tryed
Thanks
Igor

Hello, thanks for reporting this issue.
Please help verify some details and we will try to figure it out:
1. Kindly check the below VPN setup instructions again to confirm all the settings on the AX6000 are correct:
How to use OpenVPN to access your home network through the Wi-Fi Routers
BTW, please also provide us your network topology.
2. Please check the VPN Tunnel: login the web interface, and on the VPN Server-> VPN Connections, we can see the status of the VPN Server, confirm if there is a VPN connection enabled. If not, which means the VPN setup is not successful.
3. Check the Firewall and Anti-Virus software on the server: generally, Windows Firewall would block the packages from the VPN Client, disabling the firewall on Windows PC for "public" and "private" network will be helpful. Windows Firewall is located at "Control panel->System and Security->Windows Firewall/Windows Defender Firewall".

Hi Kevin,
VPN is set up properly.
I have already tried disabling AV and firewall. That didn't work. The connection always times out. I don't know why that happens given I can ping both my ip and tplink dns.
I checked with my ISP, they are not blocking VPN ports.
This is the log from openVPN on my phone

My issue was that the ISP transferred me to a cgnat shared ip address.
In effect router was reporting a different public ip than what it was.
Tplink support was great and picked that up right away.
It was disappointing as I contacted my ISP prior asking if they changed something that stopped my vps working. Just shows the staff being employed at these places are not much more than call centre operators.
