Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20200427 rel.80857

I've bought this router and found that both phones under AX mode for 2.4 keeps dissconecting and hence makes unusable this band, the only way it works is connecting to AX 5Ghz band or chaning 2.4 from AX to b/g/n mode.

Saw on previous posts that a firmware with a fix was released on the below url:

https://www.tp-link.com/mx/support/faq/2751/

However My router is not listed, can you provide the firmware for this router that fixes this issue.

@Betovanbuuren

Hello,

Are both the Samsung phones S20 Ultra and Note 10+ are running Android 10 version? How about other AX devices, are they connected stably?

We will feedback this issue to the seniors and they will soon check if there is an issue with the current firmware.

got the note 10 plus myself and Ax6000. Ax works great. I always separate the 2.4 and 5 ghz bands by giving them different names.

@Kevin_Z

Yes both are on Android 10, also both networks are with different names, so not using smart switch option.

Other devices are working correctly,is just happening with samsung phones with Android 10 in ax mode only for 2.4 band, 5Ghz band with ax mode works correctly

@Cawsie1962

I also have separated networks with different names, 5Ghz is working correctly with samsung devices but 2.4 in ax mode is getting dissconnected as soon as you try to connect.

Does your Note 10 runs Android 9 or 10?

@Betovanbuuren

Edit:

I had similar issue on an AX 11000 V 1.0.

Firmware 1.0.5 Build 20200216 rel.72186(5553)

I was having no luck connecting a printer that uses 2.4G by any method.

I used the web interface to turn off Smartswitch and rename the 5G SSIDs. I could NOT connect to 2.4 using my Samsung S20 ultra. Try, spin, fail, no error. Right passphrase. The WPS button said "couldn't connect", yet other pages loaded fine.

I connected to 5G with the new name, then used the web interface to try turning off OFDMA. The router factory reset instead.

I used the web interface to set the router up again, but only turned on the 2.4G SSID. I could connect using the phone AND got the printer connected using WPS. I then turned on the 5G bands and Smartconnect.

All is working for now. Oddly, the router this replaced was losing its 5G band. It would quit routing traffic, devices thought they were still connected, new ones couldn't connect (same spin, fail, no error) and it needed a reboot and would work for a few days again, then the same thing would happen. Different brand though. Time will tell whether this one will continue to lose the 2.4G band. I will keep monitoring it.

@CDNTech

What i did to fix it (at least at the moment) was to remove the auto settings for channel and channel width as on the screenshots attached, and selected manually

This way i have not had any issues with the phones on the 2.4 band at the moment, i have like 5 days this way and worked correctly, hope it helps if you want to try it out.
