Model: RE300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.5 Build 20191114 Rel. 34543

I don't understand why I bought a TP-Link RE300 that is able to connect up to 32 devices and in my one mesh system, it only accepts 20 devices, can some one explain to me?

Is TP-Link telling wrong information just to sell the device?

Need help, because I spend a lot of money and this is not working.

You can check if your MAC address is limited.

I know what is the problem, in RE300 firmware there is a limit of 16 connections for 2.4Ghz and 16 connections for 5 Ghz.

Thats why they say 32 devices.

RE300 uses the chip RT2860 and limit in the configuration of it with "MaxStaNum=16" and they could put "MaxStaNum=32", this way mainly for people that use OneMesh with IoT could have more devices connected because they are not accessing to the internet and communicate only a small number of bytes.

Add a simple option in firmware configuration to change this configuration for the ones that want this devices for Iot.
