Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.44954n

Hi!

At my country house (not to strong signal) I had prevoiusly a MR200 with basic external antenna Diablo, on the roof.

(Diablo 7dBi MiMo SMA)

The connection was not great but ok. Then a rainy day lightnings took out the electricity in the house and broke all equipment in one of my outlets, including the MR200.

I bought a new MR600 but got worse connection speed then before and it felt like the router was going offline to online all the time. I've now upgraded the antenna to a kick ass Poynting Xpol (Poynting XPOL 5G LTE MIMO 11dBi 698-3800 MHz) that I placed 2meters up on the roof in the direction my broadband provider told me but the signal/speed was only slightly improved and the offline/online problem remains. I only have/use 3G connection. No 4G mobile tower nearby. Measuring the speed (when the router is online) I get ~3.5Mbit upload /14.5Mbit download.

I often get problems connecting to the router via the Tether App on my Iphone. I have not used the Web GUI so far.

I've upgraded the firmware on the MR600 with no improvement.

Any Ideas? Feels like I bought top of the line stuff but only got problems in return...

@DavidSweden The only things I would try are:

1) Have you tried swapping the leads over from your antenna to the MR600?

2) Manually setup 3G rather than auto?  Get the username and password for your broadband provider for manual setup.  Specify 3G only.

@DavidSweden Thanks for the reply

I'm using the only 3G settings (not prefferred 4G or 4G only)but same issue.

I have most likley swaped the cabels at some point without knowing during all unpluging and testing because of all issues.

@DavidSweden I finally gave up on the MR600 after like 5000 random disconnect and equal amout of automatic reconnects.

I returned the MR600 to the store after being in contact with the TP Link support.

Got a Huawei B535 instead. worked from the first second, no problems at all after a week. Same antenna, same location, same SIM-card.

Over and out / David
