Hi all,

 

I bought an Archer T2U nano adapter, but it cannot detect 5GHz wifi network on my Windows 10 notebook (2004 version), recently reinstalled from scratch. It only detects the 2.4Ghz network.

 

I plugged the nano adapter in another notebook with Windows 10 (1903 version) and it works fine, i can connect to the 5Ghz network.

 

Parameters are the same for both notebooks:

 

 

Wifi router is the same as well.

 

I wonder if this a Windows 10 problem due to versions or if there is any updated device driver from either tp-link or Microsoft.

 

Can anyone shed some light on this, because I still can't connect to the 5Ghz network in the first notebook.

 

PS - I also followed all recomendations posted in other related threads and nothing.

Thanks for your feedback.

 

By misfortune I can't change the channels on my router, The fields are greyed out seemingly blocked by the carrier.

 

OTOH, before opening this thread, I had already matched the regional configuration (according to oher thread here in the forum).


Any other suggestion to get this work?

 

Are you planning to update the drivers for Windows 10.

 

BTW, a colleague of mine provided me a Linksys adapter and It worked in one go: Linksys WUSB6100M

@Kathy_Z  hi. i am facing a similar issue and tried updating using the file u attached.. but there is an error  in installing.

@Kathy_Z  Hola en mi caso la banda de 5GHZ del adaptador nano funciono instalando estos drivers https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-t2u-nano/#Driver y habilitando cualquiera de los siguientes canales en mi router 36,40,44.
