Does anybody know how to make the Hauwei E3276 LTE dongle work with the TL-MR3420 V2.1?
I have tried to create a bin file, but no success - does anybody have a bin file I could use?
I have not been able to get a positive response from the support team on when this will be supported...
Please help!

Hi all,
We (an international bunch of TPLINK enthusiasts) are working to get the E3276 going atm on the TPLINK MR series using OpenWRT software.
It is not as scary as it sounds and you can easily revert back to TPLINK software ... if they ever fix it.
BTW all the TPLINK 3G routers are currently limited to a max of 25Mbps throughput due to the modem protocols deployed. Read here.
The E3276 support thread is here (Australia).
The TPLINK router WIKI is here.
Note OpenWRT software is not currently available for the MR3420 V2, but it's coming soon.

Hi John
That sounds like great news. I'll be watching for the release with interest.
Does OpenWRT provide better mechanisms for access control and bandwidth data control?

Working E3276 solution for many TPLINK routers
HERE.
Hi Graham,
The E3276 is up and going after an international de-bug exercise and working images (28/02/2013) for the supported TPLINK routers is available.
We await the Open WRT MR3420 V2 release.
As soon as that happens I'll let you know.
Re bandwidth control, the OpenWRT QoS package is included in our image. In all honesty I have not used it.
Cheers

Hi John
Thanks. I'm looking forward to trying the new version.
Regarding bandwidth control, what I have in mind is not really QoS where shaping is the key. I'm thinking more in terms of managing usage, as mentioned here:
