Did you try to say that there was no internet with 3/4G modem plugged?
If yes, please help us check the following information：
- Check the modem compatible list:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/3g-comp-list.html?model=TL-MR3420&hdVer=V5
- Then make sure the modem was recognized by the router:
- Check if the router synced the right information from the service provider and get an IP address:
