@ucheokeke Agree! I also got it and have seen no changes so far. We have had really bad performance for some time now, it could be a channel issue reading other posts here. This weekend I disabled the wifi signals on the router form my ISP, hope it helps as my two boys complain about really bad gaming experience (and we have a 1000/1000 fiber connection). I want to bypass my ISP router completly but I need the M9+ set to support VLAN 101 configuration. I was told it would come with the new firmware but I can't see it. Maybe that option only shows up when in Router mode (currently I am in simple Access Point mode).

@kaja69 Some people have said for other models disabling 5GHZ seems to improve stability not sure around performance, I am still getting occassional strange drop outs.

My AP's are running in AP mode, my laptop will lose internet connectivty but can ping the local AP that its connected to, none of the others or the default gateway (router). All other WIFI devices are fine

@ucheokeke

Hello,

Thanks a lot for your kind suggestions and we will make it more clear in the Release Notes in future updates.

As per the latest 1.4.2 version, it actually improves the mesh system stability and enhanced security.

Good day.

@TP-Link_Deco I read this thread two weeks ago and am still waiting for the update to appear in my android app. Is the update a phased rollout, or should I attempt to manually update the firmware to the new version?

@strongsail

Hi,

You need to update the firmware manually to the newer 1.4.0 version, then you will be able to detect the latest 1.4.2 on your Deco app.

It is suggested to refer to this thread and I have replied to some customers before:

Hope it will help, good days.
