Hi All

I need to change my email address as the deco owner as I am changing serice provider and my current email address will no longer exist.  Is there any way of doing this? Or is the only option to carry out a full reinstall as a new user?

May I have your Deco model? Is it Deco M5 or Deco M9 or some other models? If your Deco has the latest firmware which is 1.5.x, I think it should be able to have the option to change the owner account on the latest Deco app, please refer to this guide below to check it:

final message in the saga. 
TP-Link Tech team have stated that there are only two way to change the Owner email address. 
1. Change owner method

2. Complete reinstall of all Decos using new login. 

It is not possible (with current firmware) to simply change the Owner email address in the App.

It is ok to change the email address of the Deco APP.

Please click the three lines on the top left>click your profile>email address>input the password;

@Myapps Thanks for the response but unfortunately your solution does not work. On going to the Administrator page the email section can not be clicked. There is no response.  Password can be changed but the email is unresponsive despite there being an arrow.  I am using the app on an iPhone and iPad both using the latest updated iOS.

Hey, I am sorry and I forgot to mention that I was on an older Deco APP version of Android phone .

And since there is a new APP released recently, so this feature has been cancelled.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

So if you still want to change the owner email address, you might need to reset the whole system and set up from the beginning.

PLEASE - make this possible to change the owner (another existing tplink id) or to change the mail-adress of an existing account!!!!!!!!!

@Kevin_Z thanks for that. I will follow the instructions and reset myself as a new owner. But surely it would easier to have the function to simply change email address?

If your Deco firmware version is 1.5.0, then you should be able to do that. If not, you will need to wait for the new firmware.

@Kevin_Z   I'm running Deco 5 and 9 Plus units on the same mesh.  They all have the latest firmware and the app is the latest version. The App is the Mac version.  There is no option to simply change email address that I can find.

Hi, as I mentioned twice already, you need to update your Deco to the latest 1.5.x version, if the Deco M9 is the main Deco, and its firmware is old, you cannot change the email account via the Deco app.

 

Here is the latest firmware for the Deco M9 Plus:

@Kevin_Z and as I've told you - I'm running the latest (1.5) firmware - and it still will not allow me to change the owner email address.
