Band 40 is not working in Jio and Airtel, Only Band 3 is working,, Help me on this please..
Hi,
I bought this TP link Archer MR 600 Yesterday. The Problem is only Band 3 is working fine in 4G on jio. By default its connecting to band 40 and while its in band 40 the internet status was diconnected. I have checked with airtel and Jio. In my mobile am getting 4g + for airtel with full signal in the same place i have kept the router and checked, but some times the 4g + is coming and its going.. while in 4g+ the internet was working fine. Then i updated the firmware to beta and i choose band 3 in band selection then the internet was working for me with airtel and jio. If its in band 40 the internet is not working..
Could you help on this please?
Regards,
Suriya Ambikapathi

Good day.
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
Are you trying to say that, LET service provider supported both band 3 and band 40, but for the Archer MR600, it could only get internet service on band 3, not band 40?
Did your service provider support 2CA? if yes, how about choose band 3+band 40 at the same time to see what happened?
By the way, have you ever checked if the same sim card inserted on the mobile phone, which band is it on the smartphone?
Thank you very much.

@Suriya Hi,
I have checked with Jio and Airtel which is supporting 2 CA. I checked the combination of Band 3 + and Band 40 and Band 3 and Band 5. The result is if i choose Band 3 + Band 40 the internet is diconnected and Band 40 + Band 3 Vice versa. but for Band 3 + Band 5 is working. I reverted the beta firmware back to original firmware after that its automatically connected to Band 3 + Band 5.
Band 40 with any combination is not working.

My doubt is why band 40 is not working with or without CA enabled? Atleast it should work in band 40 without ant CA. but its not working.

Hi Suriya,
That's a problem i reported as well. The router with default antennas has somehow signal recption issues. I am also facing same tha you have mentioned . on Jio band 3+5 and band 5+40 is working fine. in all states Band 40 A + 40 A working on both Jio and Airtel. TP link should enable this combination soon. Please refer my post below:

Good day.
When the router failed to work on band 40, have you tried to modify the DNS server on the router to have a look:
Please go to advanced>network>LAN settings>change DNS address to be 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4;
Then power off and power back on the router;
Thank you very much.

I have exact same issue with V2 hardware, not sure whether it is a limitation. If it is then they are doing false marketing.
