Good evening,

I have an MR600 V1 modem router and I have the same problem reported for an MR6400 modem router (I don't see an answer to this report):

in the Advanced> Security> Access Control folder, after 31 MAC addresses entered to build a Whitelist, when I try to enter another MAC, the MR600 tells me - Error code: 4728 The number of added lines has reached the limit -.

Is this really a limitation of TP-Links modem router?

The maximum number of MAC addresses for a Whitelist (or Blacklist) is 31?

There is an imitation of the access control profile and the maximum number is 32.

As for the 31, it is still quite strange.

Would you please double-check whether it is 31 or 32?

If it is 31, a picture attached would be highly appreciated.

Hi

I get a similar limit (max 31 devices) with my AC1600V.  I find this white list limit an obstacle.  With IOT devices on my home network, 32 devices is a limit that can easily be reached.

Please advise modems that have the ability to list more than 32 devices?

Good evening,

I confirm that the limit for MR600 is 31 MAC addresses in the whitelist and, as @wiseone says, nowadays there are few, given the large number of IOT that are installed even in a normal home.

Too bad: I have to give up an extra security, perhaps easily overcome by expert hackers as you read on the web, but it certainly works against common users.
