Hello @Kathy_Z,

It is a bit confusing because the driver mentioned by you (which is also the official driver on site) is displayed in Windows Device Manager as 'Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz' for a NIC sold as 'TP-Link AX3000 Archer TX50E'.

Showing AX200 instead of AX3000 makes me think it is not having the right driver or all the features. It is working but I cannot tell for sure if I am getting the best performance out of it.

Could you please bring some light in this?

Thanks in advance.

George

Hello, thanks for asking.

The chipset of the Archer TX50E is Intel AX200, so it would show up under general settings of the wireless adapter.

As for the AX3000, generally, if your main router is also AX standard compatible and supports 1024QAM and MU-MIMO, the total link speed of the 2.4ghz and 5ghz could reach to 574Mbps and 2402Mbps.

Thank you, @Kevin_Z for clarifications.

If I may - I have a second question - also related to drivers.

Using the provided CD to install the driver, an utility application from TP-Link is installed by default (not only the driver).

The driver is working fine, and the adapter works  just fine. ...But TP-Link application doesn't recognize your own hardware hence no fine tuning can be performed on it.

Google-ing it I discovered this is a common problem faced by many buyers.

I am not a newbie - I tried a lot to clean the computer and to install again - in different order utility first, driver in second, then vice versa...
I used windows updates, intel driver or TP-link original disk but... nothing. In the end, I decided to uninstall the utility app and only rely on Windows GUI to configure my new wifi6 adapter.

Did I miss something?

Thanks,

George

I can tell you that this kind of green UI utility is quite outdated, I don't think it will work properly on the latest Windows 10 computer. Also, this adapter can work with that green UI utility, if I were you i will certainly delete it from my computer, it's useless.
