Will Archer c4000 router create the sparse bundle [image] on initial time machine backup (over Wifi)
I have been having trouble staying connected to the router during the initial time machine backup (over Wifi).
I am wondering if the correct order of commands is in place once I enable the use time machine function on the router and access the attached drive through the time machine preferences on the mac - that being, the sparsebundle is created, somehow.
I have noticed sparsebundle image being created during the inital backup but the following processes to write the data always fails and loses connection; don't know what stage this is happening... I have seen the file grow to only 1.5/80 Gb of the backup size.
I don't know why my router has been rebooting during the initial backup proccess (over WiFi); but I am seeing if this troubleshooting part could fix the issue: Should I manually create the sparse image on the computer and write it to the drive, attach the drive to the router, and then ask time machine to establish the connectivity to the NAS through the time machine preferences? Or is it better to let the underlying commands of the router and computer do the work?
