Model: Archer C4000
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.0.3 BUILD 20191026 rel.13901(5553)

I am having problem of connecting my Tenda A9 range extender to the my new Archer C4000 router.  The Tenda A9 used to work on the old router (TL-WDR3600) with no issue.   Anyone has suggestions that I can try.  Thanks.

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for the suggestion.  I finally got the connection issue resolved.  There are no special setting in the C4000.   I was using my andriod phone's Chome and Firefox browsers to setting up the Tenda range extender, and experiencing the setup issue.   I used my labtop today to login to the Tenda range extender and was successfully set up the connection.  I am not sure why it wont work when using phone browser.

@Meng

Hello,

Are there any special settings on the C4000 for the clients or devices to connect, such as Access Control or Wireless MAC filtering? If yes, delete or disable it and try again.

It's also suggested to change the wireless settings on the C4000 to give it a shot, like changing the wireless channel to 1/6/11, changing wireless security to WPA2-PSK/AES, then reboot both the C4000 and the Tenda A9.

If all other devices connect to the C4000 network fine, you may also contact the Tenda support to seek some suggestions.

May it help.
