Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.5 Build 20200630 rel.57406(4555)

I have bought a brand new Archer C6 and it is working perfectly fine. The Router console showed me that a new firmware version is available. Is it good to have it upgraded? Usually I know that we can bump into some performance issues after the upgrade is done in certain version. I have not faced any issues in the current firmware version. I just wanted to know if by upgrading to the newest version my Router will be able to perform much more better?

Current Version: 1.3.5 Build 20200630 rel.57406(4555)

Hardware Version: Archer C6 v2.0

New Firmware Version: 1.3.6 Build 20200902 rel.65591

Any help or tips on this will be great whether to go or not go for the upgrade.

Hello, if the current firmware is working well, there is no necessity to upgrade the router firmware.

Hello,

I have upgraded to 1.3.6 and my WIFI is very unstable!

Do not do this. I have many problems now. I loose my internet connection a few times per day.

@Arkadio yeah, couple of days ago my router started to fall the net connection (optic) every 5-10 minutes and there are drops (loss packets) all the time even tho the ping is good and I had previously this problem since the time I bought this router and after 1.3.6 was good for a couple of months and now it started to drop again
