Some days ago, I've created a thread talking about my problem with the wireless signal ( https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/228260 ), today I guess I found the problem, I changed the mode in Wireless > Basic Settings for 11bg mixed, and the problem was solved, but what's the difference between 11bgn and 11bg? Am I losing performance with 11bg? and what can I do to solve the problem with 11bgn?

Hi, thanks a lot for letting the community know your issue is resolved by changing the wireless mode from 802.11b/g/n mixed to 802.11b/g mixed. Good share.

As per your inquiry, 802.11b/g/n mixed means that the router is compatible with IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, and IEEE 802.11n wireless adapters, while 802.11b/g mixed will only allow the connection of IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g.

As for the difference between them, you may refer to some online forums like below:

Thanks.

TP-Link Wireless N Router WR840N

Model No. TL-WR840N

Firmware Version:0.9.1 4.16 v0001.0 Build 180614 Rel.40494n

I'm facing the same issue I have changed the mode from 11bgn to 11bg but the issue is not resolved instead I'm facing less speed as compared to 11bgn. I have tried changing the channels to 1,6,11 but still Its not resolved. I have tried changing the dns to 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 but still the problem is not solved.
