Hi Guys

I've got a Fritzbox 7170 as my ADSL modem and got a MR3220 for asigning bandwith to me and my wife.
I am running win7 pro 64-bit, and when I open network the mr3220 shows as "unknown device" but I can open the device webpage.
Now my problem is i do my wireless connection through the mr3220 and if left for a while ( i dont know how long) and we try to connect the internet connection is down and the device dont show on network
All lights on mr3220 shows that it is running right. Is there a setting that turns it off or into standy or something like that?
Because my downloads stop because the device disconnects my internet some how.

hope you can help me

Log into web interface 192.168.0.1. Go to Wireless/Wireless settings, make sure enable SSID broadcast is checked like enable wireless router radio. If yes to both, try different channels.

Thanx Mavis it seems the router has got a function that disables the internet when it goes idle, but its not supposed to go idle because i'm downloading stuff all the time I will change the channel and see if it does it again.
I cant find the place where I can disable this idle function.

You're right, it shouldn't go idle, try the "Connect Manually" option instead of "Connect on Demand" or "Connect Automatically".

Hope this helps

I have a MR-3220 in my village to control 2 cams. I have tried manual, automatic and demand connections, and all the times, ALL, the router is disconnected for some reason and i have to go to the village to restart the router manually.

Do you have some solution for this ??

Thank you very much.

Jose,

Maybe you can send an e-mail to TP-LINK tech support to check whether they have firmware for this issue, no matter official firmware or beta firmware.
