Model: Archer A6
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.6

My original adapter stopped working which was of 12V - 1Amp = 12W. Can I use 12V - 0.5Amp = 6W adapter to power my router? Will it work as expected or not? Also this router is dual band !

Hi,

Theoretically, the Wi-Fi routers offer a compact size with impressive performance, which as a result requires a sufficient power supply. It is not suggested to use a power supply that lower than the requirements, otherwise, the performance and stability are not guaranteed.

Nice day~
