Firmware Version: 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.44954n

Hello everyone,

Since a few month i'm facing some issues with my MR600. At first I would get a few disconnections from 4G : i would have to reboot, or set the connection to 3G to make it work again.

Since a few days it won't even connect to 4G. It shows the signal (i have an almost perfect signal, using an outdoor antenna, 75 to 100%, low RSRP, got some test with up to 180mb down 30 up) but still no internet, and "disconnect" message in the menu.

When i look into the system log, i get theses messages :

47 2020-10-19 18:19:47 HTTPD Information DNS 8.8.8.8 resolve timeout for dns.msftncsi.com
48 2020-10-19 18:19:45 HTTPD Information DNS 212.27.40.240 resolve timeout for dns.msftncsi.com

So the DNS is timing out, while i can ping them perfectly. I've tried multiple DNS, doesn't change anything (and it doesn't change the error message either, still shows Google DNS and my operator one). I've tried to do a factory reset, enable DHCP etc no changes at all.

What is happening ? Is my router dead ? Can't be bothered to stay in 3G, if I don't find a solution I'll just buy a Huawei I guess.

Thanks !

@THEFUNKI

Good day,

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Sorry for the delay.

May I know how long have you had the device?

Where are you located and who Is your internet service provider?

So now, there is no internet completely on 4G mode, but it works on 3G mode, right?

Have you tried to reset the router from the beginning to see if that helped?

And when the internet showed disconnected, what is the internet IP address on the status page, 0.0.0.0, or something else?

Thanks a lot.

@Sunshine Hi, I had the device for more than a year. I'm located in the south west of France, near the Spain border. My operator is Free mobile, and i have an unlimited data 4G subscription. Yes i tried to reset it multiple times, put it to factory settings etc, it won't change a thing. I've also enable/disabled DHCP in both my windows settings and on the router, no change. When the internet is disconnected, it shows a random IP adress, i suppose the last one my operator gave me (for exemple 10.56.191.249) and my operator DNS (which are 212.27.40.240 and 212.27.40.241) I've noticed a strange thing though : sometimes, if i connect my VPN while i'm in 3G mode, than switch to 4G, it works. I don't get disconnected, and it stays in 4G mode without any issue, until the next disconnection. I use ExpressVPN. Thanks
