How long have you had the device?
Have you tried to factory reset the modem by holding the reset pinhole for 10s?

Even I'm facing the same issue with my router.
Model - TL-MR100.
When I removed sim card and inserted same Sim card again after a week,it is not showing Internet connection and in tp-link website, it is showing message to insert sim card even though it was inserted already.
I even tried reset option for holding 10sec , no result
