I have my desktop PC and Synology NAS connected to an old TL-SG1005D Switch which is in turn connected to a Deco M5.

 

Wondering whether a more modern switch would transmit data between the desktop and NAS any faster or does my current switch transmit at maximum possible speed?

@Kathy_Z Thanks for your reply. Good to know that my switch is still up to the job. 

 

I did a google search as I had never heard of link aggregation. My Synology NAS DS218Play does not have this feature.
