Hardware Version: V9
Firmware Version: 3.16.9 Build 150310 Rel.54318n

I just bought a Redmi Note 9 and it can't find my apartment wifi network (TL-WR841n)

This smartphone does find many other wifi networks in the building, but not the one in my apartment.

On the other hand, other devices (laptops, smartphones) work perfectly with my existing wifi network.

Do you think I should check for problems with my tp-link router or rather my Redmi Note 9?

It's hard to tell which device could be the source of the problem.

 

As far as the router is concerned:

In case your TL-WR841N is broadcasting on channels 12 or 13, try to set it to any channel from 1 to 11 and then check again on your Redmi phone.

Furthermore, make sure "SSID Broadcast" hasn't been disabled recently.

For Wireless Security try "WPA/WPA2 - Personal", Version: Auto, Encryption: Auto.
