Model: M7450
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello,

We are looking to buy a battery powered WiFi router and thought the M7450 would be a great choice. Our needs are not exceptional but it doesn't seem to be the usual use case for this device :

- We need to connect about 20 tablets together so they are on the same network.

- The tablets will communicate through the usual protocols (TCP/UDP)

- The M7450 will not have a SIM card inserted, as we don't need the devices to be connected to internet.

Will the TP-Link M7450 be able to work properly as a WiFi router without a SIM card?

Thanks,

Sylvain

Hello, this could be achieved by connecting 20 tablets to the wireless network of the M7450 without a SIM card plugged in, it will only provide the wireless signal for those tablets which will allow them to communicate locally.
