Model: Adapter
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello everyone,

I have set up the T3u adapter in my pc and correctly installed the drivers (only one possible version, used the european version because I am European) through the link https://www.tp-link.com/nl/support/download/archer-t3u/#Driver.

(Proof of correct install)

I have a tp-link powerline adapter transmitting wifi very close to me, both on 2.5ghz and 5ghz, and the wifi connection on my laptop that sits next to my pc is very strong and more importantly: fully consistent.

However, on my pc the wifi drops every couple of seconds, before reconnecting again. When I do have wifi, it is fast and good, but it seems the t3u keeps disconnecting itself from the pc or disconnecting from the wifi (sometimes no wifi options will be shown when trying to choose to connect to a network).

Many thanks in advance to anyone willing to help, I truly am at a loss.

Regards,

Devairen

@Devairen

Hello, thanks for reporting the issue to the community.

Are you using this T3U on a Windows 10 computer? What is the details version, 1909, or 2004? You may verify it as below:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/

Try to update the driver to be the following one:

https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202006/20200601/00015960-RTLWlanU_WindowsDriver_1030.38.0712.2019_Drv_3.00.0032.L.zip

How long have you had the adapter and when did the issue start? Are other devices in the network are getting a normal ping result when you ping 8.8.8.8?

What is the model number of your home router? Try to change different 5ghz wireless channels, such as 36/40/44/48.
