The router keeps rebooting intermittently
it's frustrating as we all are working from home and it disrupts work
what is the issue ??

The passport ultra is a unlikely cause since its rebooted without the drive.altough i would suggest adding a option for having the drive spin down after a set period of time to reduce power requirements. Not to mention wear and tear on the drive itself.
The pfsense in pluged into the wan on the ax20.
Port one goes to the main pc and there are no other wired conections.
Wifi is set to smart connect using Aes encryption.
As for the reboot it not a complete one as it recovering too fast for a complete reboot to be happening.
It losses conection with the Pfsense router which in turn knocks out the wirless and wired conections then takes roughly a minute to restore conection.
Given that there a odd lag in the UI at times and error now and then when trying to get a list of the clients it feels firmware related.
Some router screens can take up to 15 seconds or more to load which is quite odd for a quad core router.
Since mine is under minamal load with the pfsense doing all the routing overload should not be a factor.
Wonder if the low amount of flash memeory is creating a problem for the programers.

What is the current Transmit Power level, is it High or Middle? Try to change it to Middle or Low, then reboot the AX20 manually to monitor.
We have reported the issue to the support engineers, they will likely reach out to you via email to continue to troubleshoot your issue.

@vinodrajan Changing wireless power does seemingly prevent the oringal reboot issue but creates a different one.
Devices randomly loose connection regardless of distance and the router does a soft lock requiring a reboot to restore access and wireless.
Bloody hope this is not a hardware flaw or iam going to be quite annoyed.

The firmware got multiple issues it seems.
Enabling smart connect makes the firmware sluggish and unresponsive at times with operation fails doing the simplest of things.
Smart connect is either changing channels every 15 minutes regardless of environment or disconnecting and reconnecting to wireless devices for no reason.
Even when being used merely as a Access point the firmware can behave sluggishly.
Tech support certainly tries and have given out a beta firmware which sort of fixes the wireless disconnect issue but in turn causes another where wireless throughput randomly stops suddenly to devices.
Not much good when the device stops playing music for no reason or your upload crashes.
Not sure if its the hardware itself or the firmware no being ready for release before the product got pushed.
Compared to my older Asus ac86 this things kind of a mess.
About the only thing it does good at this point is make the other guys look good.
Clearly the products needs more beta testing.
Shame because we got rack mount switches from tplink that are rock solid.

It started rebooting randomly again. This morning it rebooted while was on a work conference call.
Is this a known issue ?
Am thinking of going with google wifi or linksys

Can you please verify if the router version is v1.20 or v1.0? Please check it on the router label.
We can provide you a beta firmware if yours is v1.20.
