Clients not showing up with EAP connected on same switch
Clients not showing up with EAP connected on same switch
Hello,
I have 1xOC200 / 1xTL-R605 /1xTL-SG2008P / 3xEAP265 in my omada environment.
I have two none omada(management) TP-LINK switches connected to a port on the SG2008P. Both switches have different clients and a EAP265 connected.
The clients on the two switches are not shown in the clients section.
When i disconnect the EAP265 the clients are shown and when i connect the eap265 the clients are nog showing up anymore(the clients on the same switch from which i connect / disconnect the EAP265).
Because the same problem occurs with different switches / cables / eap i suspect the omada software suspress the cliënts?
Best regards,
Michel

Dear @Misjel,

Do the clients on the two switches (that are not shown in the Clients section) actually get an IP address and work properly in the network?
Are they all wired clients? In the Map ->Topology, would the clients show up with a correct connected number?
When i disconnect the EAP265 the clients are shown and when i connect the eap265 the clients are nog showing up anymore(the clients on the same switch from which i connect / disconnect the EAP265).
Could you please upload some screenshots of the Clients page to show the problem?
Then I can forward this to the R&D team for further analysis. Thank you!

The client are wired, working fine and getting an IP. They also doesn't show up in de Map -> topology.
The clients page doesn't show the clients so nothing to show with screenshots i think.

Looks like I'm experiencing the same behavior with a Netgear switch in between. It also has an EAP245 connected to it.
It worked for a while for me but stopped working somewhere around end of December. What is also strange is that I see them popping up when I restart the Netgear switch, but after a few minutes all clients as well as the switch disappear from the Omada controller.

Dear @WesleyB,

Could you please tell us the device information about your Controller and EAPs?
Do you also have an Omada Switch in your network?

@Fae Sure. I have SG2008P switches and R605 router. The access points are EAP245s. Controller is running as a Docker container (4.2.8 version).

@Fae Any update? The behavior seems pretty easy to reproduce.
