Hi,

 

I need to connect more than 32 devices on my MR200.

 

The MR200 should support up to 64 devices. Correct? 

 

I understand that the number of devices are divided as in the following.

2.4 Ghz WiFi -> 32 devices

5 Ghz WiFi -> 32 devices

 

Is it correct? 

 

If yes, and if I don't need 5GHz WiFi (I disable it from settings), can I connect more than 32 devices on 2.4 GHz WiFi, or it is always limited at 32 even if the 5GHz is disabled? 

 

I hope my question is clear.

 

p.s. I take this opportunity to ask if the official firmware will be updated with 4G band selection feature?

Since no responses until now, I'll try to propose the question again in a more simple way.

 

How many devices can I connect on Archer MR200 using wifi 2.4GHz only?

On amazon technical information generically says 64 devices.

 

Could you confirm that 64 devices can be connected if I use wifi 2.4GHz only?

 

or they are divided in

- 32 for wifi 2.4GHz

and

- 32 for Wifi 5GHz

?

@attanasio89 The number of clients that can connect at the same time is not limited to any frequency band; i.e. you can have all 64 clients connect via 2.4 GHz. Note that you will have twice as many radio packet collisions, i.e. reduced speed, by comparison to connecting half of those cliemts via the other 5 GHz band.
