TP-Link Utility for Windows 10 stopped working
At some point over the last couple of days the TP-Link Utility on Windows 10 has stopped working. Instead of a 'map' of the Powerline and Extenders, I simply get the following:
When I hover over the image in the middle it appear clickable, but when I click nothing happens.
I have uninstalled and re-installed (with reboots in between) but to no avail. I have not done any Windows updates since it last worked.
Any ideas what's gone wrong?
Jonathan

@Startscreen Take a look at the rest of the post messages. But be mindful that when I did it Windows 10 and Windows Defender Antivirus vomited everywhere and didn't like it.

@Startscreen Heard you the first time.... :-)
Don't know. Wait until Windows Defender regards it as safe? Or just take the risk and ignore the warnings. I can't do the latter as it's a work laptop which precludes me from installing anything that Defender regards with suspicious eyes.

Whoa, Windows Defender in Win10 is throwing a warning when trying to start the powerline utility I just downloaded from the provided link.
What is going on here?
Did you forget to sign this application? Can you please update this utility so that it is not blocked by Windows Defender?

@Startscreen Well, I said before, you can either wait for a new version which Defender Antivirus likes, or you can install the latest version which does seem to work but which Defender Antivirus doesn't like. Your call.

The new utility is very disappointing. First there is the problem with Windoze defender, that I've never experienced before. It doesn't differentiate between the powerline hub and the extenders. Also, and most importantly of all for system maintenance, there's no link to open the extender's browser page.
I've been using these for several years now, and I've recommended them many times. Please fix the utility so it provides all the features of the previous one.
