Dutch KPN setting
Dear ....,
I would like to set-up this router, but I can't get connection with my ISP (KPN in the Netherlands). I try several hours and several days ;-)
They provide this information:
1. PPPoE over VLAN 6 (802.1q)
2. PPPoE authentication PAP (internet / internet)
3. Packet size (mtu) 1500 bytes (rfc4638)
4. IPv4 adress + DNS servers over PPPoE
5. IPv6 adress range + DNS server (IPv6) over DHCPv6-PD request (in PPPoE). Use adress of range from router
Steps 1., 2. and 3. I can do but setps 4. and 5. I can't see any locations where I can put in these settings.
Can some one provide print screen how to get this router working?
Best Regards,
Bart

This morning I saw an update for my TL-R605 and TL-ER7206 with IPv6 functionality added! Since then I've successfully connected to the KPN fiber network! Here are my settings:
Hope this helps, goodluck!

Dear @BartD,
Are you configuring the TL-ER7206 via its web interface or via Omada Controller?
4. IPv4 adress + DNS servers over PPPoE
If you use Omada Controller, please click Advanced Settings to configure the IP info provided by your ISP.
5. IPv6 adress range + DNS server (IPv6) over DHCPv6-PD request (in PPPoE). Use adress of range from router
The TL-ER7206 doesn't support IPv6 for the moment, it is being developed and will be updated in the following software versions, you may wait patiently for the firmware update.

Hi Fae,
Thanks for your feedback.
I tryed at first to set up via the web GUI and had some issues and no "connection to Internet". After I have tryed via the Omoda cloud and the same result "no conncetion to Internet".
And IPv6 is good to know, I have to wait. Have you an indication of release IPv6?
I will try it again and let you know.

Hello Fae,
I tryed this several times, but I still have no connection with the internet :-(.
So I made Router ISP -- TL-ER7206 -- Managed PoE switches --> EAP / laptops / computers / IoT.
For the time being I'm fine and the network is running, I have to due to the Covid-19 (working at home and digital education for the childern).
Next step (over a couple of weeks / motnhs) is to skip the Router ISP. Then I will try it again and hopefully without pressure of childern :-)
Thanks,
Bart

@BartD. Were you able to get it to work? I have a similar setup and it would be nice to have one less hop on the network... Thanks, Ivar

Hi Saibot, I trying to make the setup working; for internet it is working but for ITV of KPN I don't get it up and running. I have used your example :-)
How to setup TV VLAN 4 in the provide print screen from you (TV (netwerk configuratie)? May be you can give a suggestion :-) Below I have the settings provided oby KPN
Internet
- PPPoE via VLAN 6 (802.1q).
- PPPoE authenticatie PAP met een gebruikersnaam en wachtwoord (bijv internet / internet).
- Maximale pakket grote (mtu) 1500 bytes (rfc4638)
- IPv4 adres + DNS servers via PPPoE verkrijgen
- IPv6 adres reeks + DNS servers (IPv6) via DHCPv6-PD verzoek (in PPPoE). Een adres gebruiken uit reeks voor router.
TV (netwerk configuratie)
- Ethernet VLAN 4 (802.1q)
- Adres via DHCP vereist mee sturen option60 (Vendor Class Identifier) met waarde: IPTV_RG.
- Specifieke route informatie via DHCP opvraagbaar (option 55 bevat 1, 3, 28 en 121)
- Extra; DNS servers niet gebruiken + default gateway niet gebruiken alleen specifieke routes.
- Inschakelen IGMP-proxy incl fast-leave optie vereist voor TV signaal in thuis netwerk (min IGMPv2).
Or should I create a VLAN in the Omada controller:
Or should it done via
I'm asking before trying; two students at home and working at home :-)
