Hello,

 

I currently have the TP-Link AV500 for a few years already.

 

My internet provider gives me 250 mbit/s download speed, but with the AV500 I only reach 100 mbit according to the network centre. Is that correct?

In that case, would it be useful to upgrade to another adapter?

What is model number of your TPlink powerline adapter?

 

The majority of AV500/600 adapters only have 100 Mbps fast ethernet ports.  

 

If you run speed test (eg.   speedtest.net), what speed do you get over wired ethernet connection ?  90-100 Mbps or much lower?

 

If you want faster speeds, you would need to look at gigabit powerline adapters, but there is no guarantee you will get speeds greater than 100 Mbps when you run speed tests.
