Hi there,

 

As I understand there have been several firmware updates to address the weak security bug in regards to the range extender's - I've only come across a beta firmware for later devices and not the RE450 V1 which hasn't had a firmware update since 2017 which i'm currently using (RE450(UK)_V1_171215)

 

I tried a firmware posted on this forum for the EU version RE455 V1, but it failed to flash with a checksum error.

 

Is there a beta firmware specifically for this model V1 UK Model?

Anyone? TP-Link Support? Am I right to assume this is an end of life product therefore not going to receive a simple firmware update to address this glaring bug which has been fixed on other hardware versions?
