Note that you need to press and hold the button for more than 5 seconds to trigger the factory reset.
If the WPS/Reset button on your TL-WR840N is physically broken, then I see only two ways to get back into the admin page.
Either you think hard again and try to remember the user name and password that you once set or you open up the housing of the router and then use a metallic object to short the contacts on the PCB that the WPS/Reset button is soldered onto, although I don't recommend doing this unless you have a bit of background in electronics.

What if before somebody has disabled WPS button, but if the WPS button is disabled the reset function should work or not ?

Yes, the reset function should always work.
How does it feel when you push in the reset button? Do you feel any sort of "click", like if you press a button of a mouse or keyboard?
If you press and hold the reset button for 5 to 10 seconds and then release it, can you notice any particular response from the router's LEDs, like all going off or on?

When I click the reset button it feels like click but nothing response on LED's, it keeps on as it is.
Should I try to again flash the router firmware with the help of TFTP ?
