Model: Archer C1200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.2 Build 20180118 rel.38979 (EU)

Hello everyone. This is from the C1200 User Guide:

"If you want to enable/disable the WPS feature, go to System Tools > System Parameters > WPS, tick or untick the Enable WPS checkbox."

However, the entire System Parameters section is missing (see below), and there is no WPS on/off setting in the Wireless section:

This screenshot is from Access Point mode but it shouldn't make a difference since both Wi-Fi and WPS are fully available in this mode. I had to switch to Router mode, disable WPS and switch back to Access Point mode. This works, but it can cause problems for AP mode users: another main router is often connected and switching the C1200 to Router mode can easily break the entire Network if you are not careful.

So please, make the WPS on/off setting also available in AP mode. If there are other settings missing in AP mode, please make them available too (I am not talking about features that cannot work in AP mode). Thank you.

@Amiga1000

Thank you for suggesting the idea of implementing WPS option when the router works as an Access Point. This idea will be reviewed for consideration.

Hi, Any update from TP Link on this post? I have same question. Thanks.

BTW, this is not an Idea but an Implicit Requirement of the router. Users must be able to seamlessly disable WPS for enhanced security regardless of Router mode or AP Mode.

If a Router firmware does not offer it, it's a design flaw.
