Future Consideration Feature Request - Guest Network separate DHCP/DNS settings
Hi @TP_LINK,
I've had rock solid performance so far, and do like the Deco Labs options (although the Wifi Interference check results show 'low' then say underneath that there is significant interference), I do, however, have a feature request to put forward.
My use case:
- 3 x Deco M5s in Router mode
- Several wired and many wireless devices on the main network
- Several wireless devices on the guest network (my work devices)
- DHCP is handled by the Deco, and DNS is served by another server on the main network.
If I set the DNS to only have the DNS server, both the main and guest network use these settings. This causes the guest network to fail as it is segregated from the main network where the DNS server resides.

@MattX1 Already sold my TP-Link router, went with an ASUS router. It is a little more expensive but works way better!

@MattX1 Same here. Having a X60 since they were out, haven't seen a lot of improvements or listening to the community. Will go back to either Asus or go full on Aruba/Cisco, all seem a better investment over time.

@Erziram I know exactly what you mean. I use to have Kasa TP-Link cameras but have replaced all of them for similar reasons i.e. after years of reporting the same bug and TP-Link doing nothing about it, I decided to change ecosystems and have not looked back. Just need to move away from Deco now. ASUS look good!

The 'recommended solution' does not resolve the issues mentioned in the questions in this thread. Please tp-link, reconsider the questions and provide a decent solution.

PLease add me to this request, I just bought 3 Deco S7s and I can't believe there is no way to customize the Guest Network DNS settings

Please add this feature, the guest network and its segmentation feature are useless w/o it. How many more pages of such posts are neeeded for TP-Link to finally listen to its customers?
