The guest network is completely unusable without this feature if you're running a local DNS server on your main network (e.g. AdGuard Home).

Its a basic feature for any Router

I just bought a BE5000 and I'm a little surprised that a) it can't do this and b) they cant add it. 

 

I'm going to return it before my return window expires but if anyone sees this can you suggest a good mesh system that can do this simple task?

Aaaand here I am with my Deco M4 and pihole that doesn't work on guest network... 

Please, TP-Link, add the guest network DNS option. You've added so much useful stuff with updates, that are much more than this simple option. I don't want to sell my Deco since I really liked it so far. :(

This is a crucial option for normal homelab-enthusiasts. I have the Archer BE700, which supports WiFi 7 and 10G internet, which is definitely a homelab-enthusiasts targeted device. Unfortunately the use of a guest network is not properly feasible on this device. In this state I cannot recommend it for enthusiasts, even though the performance is otherwise great.
