Model: Archer C2600
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.8 Build 20170306 Rel. 33259

Currently I have internet with Bell Canada with FTTH. I have the HomeHub 300 modem and get full WiFi speeds through the modem (500/500). However when when I disable the WiFi from the modem, my C2600 does NOT give me anywhere near the advertised speeds on the router specs. I max out at 85 mbps up and down even when beside the router.

2.4 GHz gives slower speeds as well, but the WiFi specs advertise over 300 mbps on WiFi, but I can't figure out whats going on. I've tried to look up similar issues but there hasn't been a resolution.

@ATee

Do you mean you can get 500/500 up and down when you connect the computer to the HomeHub 300 modem directly? If that is the case, please check again what is the up and down speed you can get when you connect the same PC to the LAN port of the C2600 with an Ethernet cable.

Additionally, please check and confirm the negotiation speed is showing 1000Mbps on the C2600 web page, manually switch to 1000Mbps if it is on 100Mbps.

It is also suggested trying with another Cat5e/6 cable or change the port of the HomeHub 300 modem, where you're connecting C2600 (if possible), then confirm again.

@Kevin_Z

Thanks for the reply, I manually connected with Ethernet and was still maxing out at 85 mbps. I will take a look at your other suggestion.

I recently factory restored it and the speed improved but was still capped around 200, but when I was conencted through WiFi to my HH3000 I was getting max 500.
