I have an existing setup with WiFi and BT HomePlug in combination. The HomePlugs are the Simpler Networks models. This all works fine.

I need to improve the WiFi signal in another part of the house, and also get a Sky+ TV box that is there onto the internet via CAT5.

So I was wondering:

Will the TL-WPA271 interoperate with the existing powerline network?
If it does, will it extend the WiFi range either via the powerline network or the existing weak WiFi signal?
Can I run a CAT5 cable from the TL-WPA271 into the Sky+ box to get that on the network?

hey, Alan, to answer your questions in below-)
1, the TL-WPA271 has its own SSID, which is an indepedent wifi network
2, it extends the wifi via the powerline network
3, yes, you can either run a cat5 cable or use the wifi on TL-WPA271. you can connect multiple devices wirelessly to it//

further to A1, you can also interoperate with the existing wifi by changing the SSID/password on TL-WPA271 to be the same with your BT WIFI?
to bring up some sort of "roaming" between your wifi connection, so you don't need to change connection manually by selecting the stronger wifi each time you move..
